TAHSIS/ZEBALLOS UNITY TRAIL
The Village of Tahsis awarded Onsite Engineering a contract to complete engineering and environmental assessments for a proposed multi-use trail between Tahsis and Zeballos.
EcoLogic undertook field work for the environmental assessment portion, including environmental consulting for stream-crossing designs, recommending site-specific considerations and enhancements, and preparing and submitting for approvals under the Forest and Range Practices Act.
EcoLogic performed watercourse assessments for environmental elements and features, recording parameters such as potential for stream bank erosion, rare plant community identification, and cultural (indigenous) artifact identification. Ecosystem classifications were conducted in areas of high ecological value such as old growth forests stands.
